During our special time together, we will let our true nature find its flow through meditation, movement and breathing Yoga Practices in the nurturing serenity of our surroundings. On Bowen Island, settled in the heart of the 20 acres of forested property that is Nectar Yoga, we will gather in community to rebalance our material bodies while honouring our hearts, minds and spirits.
When we are mindful in nature, it naturally restores the harmony and rhythm within ourselves, nurturing a more joyful experience of life. It is our hope this retreat will encourage the creation of new rituals and healthy habits to help keep you in balance, so you may live life to the fullest.
This retreat will take place at Nectar Yoga, a beautiful sanctuary 20 mins off the coast of Vancouver on the ancestral and unceded territory of Nexwlélexwm (Bowen Island, BC). To read more about Nectar Yoga, click here.

ABOUT THE HOST
Lori began her yoga journey in 1999 coming from a health and fitness background that continues to inform her teachings today. For ten years she owned and operated Body Harmony Yoga Studio, a successful yoga space in North Vancouver until family took her to Peru. While in Peru, Lori continued to develop her practice and stayed connected online with her community of like-minded yogis back in Canada. During those years, she returned home regularly to share the beloved Yoga by the Beach classes in beautiful West Vancouver. Now settled back on the North Shore, Lori integrates yoga therapeutics into her unique teachings for groups and individuals, online and in person. She specializes in breath optimization and postural alignment for acute trauma, however, works well with a diverse clientele who sometimes require her skills with chronic pain management and trauma informed training.
Inspired by teachers such as Sarah Powers, Sean Corn, Bernie Clarke, Jeffrey Armstrong and Deepak Chopra, Lori loves to integrate positive lifestyle themes and yogic philosophy into her sessions. A holistic approach is taken to encourage complete contentment, where one feels a connection to self, the community, the globe and beyond.
With over 2500 hours of certifications, Lori has two decades of qualified experience in Classical Hatha Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Yin Yoga, Mom & Baby Yoga, Kids Yoga and most recently, Yoga Therapy at VSOHA.
