About Nexwlélexwm (Bowen Island)
We humbly and respectfully acknowledge that we reside on Nexwlélexwm (Bowen Island), the ancestral and unceded territory of the Squamish Nation. Nestled in the Howe Sound, this small island has a big heart. The tight-knit community of 3,800 year-round residents can’t wait to welcome you.
On Bowen Island, you can kayak the many sheltered bays in the warm months, take a dip in the ocean at its sandy beaches, or hit the open sea from the marina in a kayak. Lace up your hiking boots and climb Mount Gardner or hop on your mountain bike if you’re in the mood for a bit of adrenaline. Chat with the locals and discover handmade goods + artwork throughout the island.
Nectar Yoga Retreat sits on 20 acres of forested land. You’ll see that it is our life’s work to be stewards of this land, to care for its forests and waterways, and to teach our guests to develop a relationship with the flora and fauna. The land we occupy has consciously been mainly left untouched.
