Step into the winter wonderland of fire and ice! Our Iceland Yoga Adventure Retreat is the perfect opportunity to explore outside & inside, deepen your yoga practice, take time for reflection, eat healthy food, reconnect with nature, and relax in one of the most beautiful natural places in the world!
Our light and trendy apartments are situated in Reykjavik, the central hub of Iceland, and are the perfect home base to explore this beautiful island. Each day we will embark on an outdoor adventure, daily yoga classes, meditation sessions, group desire mapping workshops, and a cooking lesson. Whether you are new to yoga or deepening your existing practice, you’ll gain a stronger awareness of your mind, body and spirit connection with individual guidance from your teacher, Andrea.
Healthy vegetarian breakfasts and dinners are included in your adventure week. Meals will consist of local and seasonal creations by chef Mirella. You will deepen your healthy cooking knowledge with Mirella’s plant-based cooking workshop and daily food tips. Our goal is to have you leaving feeling clean, balanced and inspired to change your eating habits for the better.
Wintertime in Iceland means short cold days, warm naturally heated baths, and a chance to see the northern lights. Our retreat includes an evening northern lights drive in Super Jeeps to get away from the city’s light pollution. We will venture find a secluded spot to see this natural phenomenon. One afternoon we will visit the famous Blue Lagoon, Iceland’s most well-known geothermal spa, where you can soak in hot water and indulge with facial masks in the open winter air. We will explore and learn about Iceland’s powerful nature on a Golden Circle tour, visiting some of the island’s most stunning natural phenomenas. Our Iceland Yoga Retreat is based in Reykjavik. Our trendy apartments are light, spacious and are equipped with everything we need to have a comfortable and warm stay. Our venue consists of 3 apartments. Each apartment has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a living space and a kitchen. We also have one luxury private loft apartment with private bathroom, dining, living room and balcony. This space is perfect for two friends or a couple.
Reykjavik is a compact capital city loaded with interesting history and nature museums as well as fine restaurants and great shopping (wool anyone?). You will have plenty of time to explore the city on your own or book any optional excursions that fit in to the daily schedule. Lunches are not included, which gives you a chance to stroll around and explore Reykjavik’s many restaurants and cozy cafes.
We will venture to many rural corners of this island to see the northern lights, geothermal springs and vast natural wonders.

YOGA AND MEDITATION
Your morning yoga asana and pranayama (yogic breathing) class, will awaken and energize you. Whether you are an experienced yoga practitioner or blossoming into your practice, you will learn to move with awareness, strength and balance. Your two daily yoga asana classes will be catered to your specific body needs and will range from Hatha to Yin, to Restorative to flowing Vinyasa. As the week progresses, we will build from a foundation geared towards taking yoga home. Your knowledge will deepen during our daily yoga discussions on methodology, history and alignment.
The goal: let go of the past, be present in the Now and, most of all, to BE HAPPY!
Andrea’s teaching style is an infusion of mindful alignment and intentional breath. Teaching from the foundation of Hatha Yoga and Pilates, she also incorporates Ashtanga and Iyengar methods into her classes. You’ll learn new techniques while connecting movement to breath.
FOOD AND NUTRITION
Health chef Mirella will pamper you with a delicious and healthy cuisine, offering you 2 home-made meals a day (breakfast and dinner). This entirely vegetarian menu is designed to nourish your body, stay warm and increase your energy levels. All Ingredients are hand-picked with the intention to optimally support your health, ensuring a full spectrum of nutrition, which will include all your necessary vitamins, minerals, protein, good carbs and fats. You will absolutely love it and go home with plenty of inspiration to continue to eat clean and make choices in your diet that serve your well-being.
During this yoga and detox retreat you will get the chance to learn how to make your own plant-based food by taking part in a cooking workshops. Mirella will personally introduce you to methods on how to create soups, veggie burgers, starters and main dishes, both cooked and raw. You will receive a booklet with recipes to take home.

This is a small and exclusive retreat that accommodates 12 guests in modern apartments with twin or double rooms. Due to limited space, all rooms are shared. We will not be spending much time in the rooms, only to sleep, the schedule is quite full and you will sleep tight each night. Prices are per person. Note: All rates are listed in Euros. All rooms are reserved with a €700 per person non-refundable, non-transferable deposit. The balance is due 2 months before the retreat start date, December 7, 2015. Payments can be made through direct bank transfer or by Credit Card through PayPal and you are responsible for all bank and PayPal fees and charges. All rates include tax.
